DuPont will present new design concepts and processing technologies for cosmetic packaging at Luxe Pack 2008 in Monaco. Under the banner “Inspirations for 2009,” the company will showcase Surlyn® latest applications in the cosmetics area, including a Surlyn®-based innovative processing technology.
The company will also highlight its commitment in sustainable solutions. DuPont Biomax PTT, for instance, contains 35% of renewably sourced material and can be used in replacement of polyester. This resin, with good gloss, features high scratch, tensile and yield strength resistance.
The sustainability theme also continues to feature in the long-running, independently judged DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation. Entries (accepted until February 13, 2009) will be judged on factors such as innovation, performance, responsible sourcing, clean production and effective recovery.
