France-based Anjac Health & Beauty group has achieved another acquisition, adding up Catalonia-based Laboratoris Feltor to its portfolio. The Spanish SME manufactures dermo-cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and medical devices on a site certified by the American FDA, totalling about EUR 40 million in sales.

After three external growth operations in just two years (Aircos at the end of 2017, Pascual Cosmétiques in May 2018 and Innovi in December 2018), Anjac is consolidating its manufacturing network as part of its goal to become a leading sub-contractor in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical markets, mainly in the production and filling of cosmetics, medical devices, OTC drugs and food supplements.

"Laboratoris Feltor is a smart addition to our portfolio, it is consistent with Anjac Health & Beauty’s current know-how and products, while allowing us to tap in the Spanish market," said Aurélien Chaufour, General Manager of Anjac Health & Beauty.

Established in the Barcelona region since 1981, Laboratoris Feltor first focused on the production of cosmetics for mothers, children and athletes. The Catalan company has since extended its production to dermo-cosmetics, topical pharmaceutical products (gels, lotions, shampoos, moisturizing creams, sunscreens, anti-aging creams, insect repellents, anti-lice products) and medical devices (nasal sprays, vaginal mucosa care products and medical equipment gels), distributed in Spain and abroad.

The Catalonia-based company employs 200 staff and operates in a 15,000 m2 industrial facility that is certified ISO9001, ISO14000, OHSAS18001 and GMP. Recently audited by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the company is ready to supply the OTC market in the US.

In a recent interview with Premium Beauty News, Aurélien Chaufour announced his intention to maintain the pace of acquisitions. "Our ambition is to transform the subcontracting profession by expanding our services in order to provide our customers with a wider offer and to highlight our innovation capacity and our position as an expert in the sector," he added. Additional acquisitions can therefore be expected since: "Anjac Health & Beauty is working on various projects to accelerate the pace of its acquisitions in France and internationally for the year 2019".
